I have got to have my first vaccine this week and I’m honestly more scared about death from this than covid. I’m in my 30s also have thrombophillia. I just feel like everyone says the statistics and risks are low but these numbers are people they’ve still died from this vaccine ? Is it really safe when it’s all been so rushed , things in the media lately have really scared me.

Hi @youshouldbeplotting - apologies if I am misunderstandinf you, but yes, there are different forms of clinical trials for different products - drug delivery devices and methods, vaccines (and there are different forms of these). Also whether the treatment is supposed to be preventative or therapeutic. All will follow similar phases but the nature, length and detail of each step will differ. There are strict protocols surrounding each step and it's necessary to get approval for a specific treatment's clinical trials in relation to what the product is and what it does. Do you think we should set up a new thread for this discussion as it's certainly derailing the OP's original thread. I will look for a decent source that sets out different trial processes for different products but am soon to be offline for a few hours. You may like to have a look yourself ain the meantime ,and feel free to link anything you can find for discussion.
