Anyone had first jab in Wales and second jab in England and been able to prove it for travel abroad?

DS had first jab in Wales due to being at university and registered with GP there. Now back home in England. Likely to need to prove full vaccination status for travel abroad in near future, but I'm wondering how (whether) the system will work for someone who has first jab in Wales and second in England.

Are they registered with Welsh or English GP, as I think that makes a difference. From what Ive seen, if English GP and therefore full access to NHS app, then probably. With the Welsh covid pass it says "You can use this service if you received your vaccinations in Wales"

It will probably be less effort to travel to Wales for the second jab than to try to get the two jabs aligned on one system. Unless he also has a GP in England who is willing to add jab 1 before he goes for jab 2, I'm not sure how he'd be vaccinated because they would ask if he's had one but wouldn't have him on the system. It's all very new and it isn't yet aligned.
