Dp self isolating but the app hasn't flagged it up.

Just that really. Dp is on day 7 of isolation due to being in close contact with someone who took a test the next day which came back positive. His app hasn't flagged it up. Does this mean that the guy who took the test hasn't put it in the app?

Or the guy who tested doesn't have the app?

Probably does mean something like that.

I have the app but only turn it on if I really have to use it. Most of the time the intrusive little bugger is turned off because I am uncomfortable leaving my Bluetooth on all the time. We used to be told that it was a security risk, so I won't do it.

So the app has it's limitations.

So legally there is no record of them crossing paths and dp doesn't have to isolate. Obviously he is and will continue to but they wouldnt be able to fine him if he didn't. It's no wonder it's still spreading.

I think the app relies on everyone having a smartphone. Not everyone does so that is another possibility.

Surely he should have given your dp's details to test and trace and they should contact your dp. He may or may not have the app but test and trace is a separate body and should be contacting positive cases to take details of close contacts

DP has covid, we are curently self isolating.

He has entered the code into app as requested a couple of days ago. No one we know of has had an alert, not me our adult daughter or any of his colleagues.

I imagine a lot of people don't use the app smartphone or not.

I know someone else who that happened to @IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble ! People she knew self isolated anyway but didn't get notified through track & trace.
