Would you test a baby?

Just that really, now things are opening up little one has their first cold but had a little temperature for a very short time. They are only 8 months and I know the guidance is to test for a temperature but I can't imagine trying to swab their throat and nose Confused. Meant to be starting nursery very soon so just staying home for 10 days isn't ideal.

@Wingingthis lucky you 2.5 year old DS has been tested 8 times, DH and I both work in front line keyworker services and don't have the luxury of staying at home for ten days every time he has had a cough or temperature.

I can’t believe they swabbed a 3 1/2 week old baby! The uk really are going to extremes with everything covid. Earlier this year I spent 3 days in hospital with my DS in France. Not once did anyone mention covid, swab me or my DS or seem to take any notice whatsoever apart from everyone wearing masks. It’s a different world!

@ Wingingthis not even if they were really sick and you wanted to know what was wrong with them?
