Pre hospital admission covid test

I have to have an operation on Thursday and my covid test is booked for tomorrow. I'm fine at swabbing my own nose but don't want anyone else doing it and can't bear the throat swab (someone else did my test near the beginning of covid and it was awful).

It is Frimley trust. Does anyone have any experience of going for the test at a hospital and being allowed to do their own swab? Can't sleep worrying! More nervous about this than the surgery.
