The day before incase of covid/ needing to isolate/ local lockdowns etc?

Is this possible?

You will need to read the hotel/air B and B cancellation policies, which will be different for different venues.

Chain hotels like Premier Inns offer options like that but the rate is more expensive. Would be less usual for a B&B, I think. Check the t & cs carefully if you book somewhere independent.

There are always loads on Expedia etc. And the Holiday Inn group hotels can be cancelled up to a short time beforehand.

FannieAnne · 25/06/2021 21:57

Many many options on booking.com to do this.

ClarisseMcClellan · 25/06/2021 22:00

The hotel chains are doing prices that allow you to cancel up to the day before, obvioulsy more expensive than the normal price

BunsyGirl · 25/06/2021 22:21

Loads of hotels allow you to cancel up to
24 hours before free of charge. I have got two bookings at the moment, one with a Hilton group hotel and one with a Marriott group hotel, both can be cancelled 24 hours before and that was for the cheapest rate available (i.e. there were no cheaper rates if you paid in advance).

Yes, booking.com very clear. If not, you can contact the owners/management and check their covid policy if not online.

If you do an advanced search on airbnb you can choose "flexible cancellation" which often allows you to cancel the day before.
