Been waiting around 36 hours in Scotland, haven't heard of one taking so long recently. Anyone else waiting longer? I'm worried it's got lost.

Background - my kids are with their dad until my test comes back so they don't have to self isolate and I miss them!

Thanks!

It's awful waiting isn't it. Our tests were 28 hours ago (East Lothian) and I'm hoping to hear something overnight. Fingers crossed you get a result soon.

SparklyLeprechaun · 24/06/2021 19:45

Overnight, less than 24h. Took the test in the morning, got the results by 7am next day. Midlothian.

Scottishmum1984 · 24/06/2021 20:12

Everyone seems to say 12 hours to me! I was starting to panic they lost mine.

Same! We’ve had about 8 tests, all come back in around 12 hours. This one, 27 hours and counting. This was the first we’ve done that wasn’t the airport, but Drumbrae.

FrankButchersDickieBow · 24/06/2021 20:18

I sent mine and my daughters in the post yesterday afternoon. Daughter got her positive result back first thing this morning (positive)

I've still not received mine.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/06/2021 20:23

I’m in England. Mine have all come back at 6am the next day regardless of what time they were done.

berryhead2013 · 24/06/2021 20:26

24 hrs for us in fife

berryhead2013 · 24/06/2021 20:26

Fingers crossed for you they are negative x

YouLookSoCool · 24/06/2021 20:29

24 hours a couple of weeks ago. In England though.

Snozwanger · 24/06/2021 20:33

Last week my daughter's was less than 24hours so very quick.

Scottishmum1984 · 24/06/2021 20:33

thanks everyone. I'm wondering if there is a bit of a delay. I went to a walk in clinic and it was v busy, even for 9am. And it wasn't a big centre, it was in the south of the city in quite a quiet bit.

Few weeks ago was 11 hours and that was drive through

ListenLinda · 24/06/2021 20:41

26 hours, got my results af 1pm after testing yesterday at 11am

4PawsGood · 25/06/2021 08:26

Got mine back at 6 am. Negative, thankfully. OP is yours back yet?

MouseTheDog · 25/06/2021 08:28

We had one at 11am yesterday, results emailed at 3am this morning, text message arrive just before 7am

Aprilx · 25/06/2021 08:52

I was thinking mine was taking a long time the other week, I decided the quicker ones must have been when they went to a drive through centre whereas I used the normal post. My post collection would have been about 5pm and we got results sometime over night of the following day, so about 35 - 40 hours.

spacefrog35 · 25/06/2021 08:59

6 days - eventually turned out they'd lost it. Took another 24 hours to result. This was a couple of weeks ago. We were advised to phone if you hadn't heard after 3 days by one of the test centre doctors (I think the official advice is after 5 day but he said it shouldn't take that long)

DeflatedGinDrinker · 25/06/2021 09:01

Less than 24 hours but was inconclusive so think maybe they lost it

DeflatedGinDrinker · 25/06/2021 09:01

Need to do another one

Scottishmum1984 · 25/06/2021 11:42

Yes - mine took 48 hours but was negative thankfully!

Can get my kids back 🙏

Son tested at 8am on Monday. Results back 7am on Tuesday so plenty of time to get kids ready for school after day of self isolating

DeePlume · 26/06/2021 05:21

I sent one off for my son on Thursday morning and still not heard back! It stressing me out as I've missed 2 days of work now and due in today as well. Every phone notification has me grabbing for my phone like a mad woman.

Flaxmeadow · 26/06/2021 09:26

I had a PCR test at a walk in the last week. Had it at 1pm, got the result by text the next day at 3pm.

(I'm in a high numbers area in the North of England)
