Just that really. Who’s still got the app and is acting on its advice?
I deleted the app a few months ago as I hadn’t used it for ages (or had any changes in status etc) but had to re-add it recently to get in a venue and it’s just buzzed saying I have been in contact with someone recently who’s tested positive! I haven’t been with anyone outside my bubble since Friday so it’s so frustrating getting this notification when have no symptoms and I’m also fully vaccinated. I know lots of people who don’t use the app anymore so just wondered what the consensus was on here!

I use it on an old phone but only at venues where they request it. Then I turn off bluetooth and turn on airplane mode. Less hassle than pen and paper and it makes me look compliant to be dutifully scanning the QR code. If there's a code on display but nobody is standing there asking me to scan it, then I don't bother.

I use it. Worse case is I'll get told I need 10 days off work.

It's all quite confusing but as I understand it:

Phone call from T&T saying you need to isolate - it's a legal requirement, they may well check up on you and those on low incomes can claim financial support in order to isolate

Notification to isolate from using contact tracing on the Covid app - Not a legal requirement and those on low incomes cannot claim any financial support if they isolate as a result of an app notification. This is due to the unreliability of the app for contact tracing purposes.

Check in at venues using the app - will inform you if there's been cases linked to the venue so you can take extra precautions, get a test etc. But checking in at a venue that is linked to cases won't generate an instruction to isolate, it's only the contact tracing part that does that.

Never used it. Never will!

Never used it, don't go to restaurants and pubs, can't be arsed with it all, had to use it at caravan sites but just wrote name and phone no. on paper, they know my details there anyway because of the booking.
