I know nobody has an answer..... but has there been anything anywhere said about this?
Lots of suggestion for adults it'll be after all adults double jabbed (close contact isolation) but what about he kiddies who are so much more exposed to it with being in school and no jabs. My son is starting school in September and I'm just so worried about him having to isolate all the time and the impact that'll have on him :(

@LoopTheLoops my heart goes out to you, it’s just awful 💕

Was it Dr Rosemary Lennard on TV news this morning criticising the school closures.
I think now that doctors are saying it is pointless then the government and DfE and unions need to listen.
Plus the UK stands alone in not vaccinating over-12s - US and EU are doing this, even though the MHRA has approved Pfizer in over-12s. Apparently even CV and CEV over-12s are having trouble getting access.
Unfortunately the government is still focusing its priorities on foreign holiday and reducing quarantines etc (which will just lead to even more problems in schools in September).

Yes it was.

She was basically saying that we should treat this virus as we would any other virus and there is no need for anyone other then the child that is ill to be out of school.

But unfortunately this government doesn't give a shit about education, they seem to be more concerned whether you can go on holiday or not.

No idea but I hope after ‘freedom day’

It should be sooner, now

I agree with this. Government are painfully slow on this

Too wrapped up in Euros and G7

Households like mine with school staff parents in bubbles in primary school and children in different school bubbles have suffered massively. 9 isolations between us.

My sons future teacher did a home visit today and I discussed this with her. She completely agreed with my concerns and did reassure me a bit. I suppose a child starting school is scary enough, but I'm just worried he's gonna get left behind if we have to keep isolating because he can't be tested :(

It’s easy to say the contact isolating should just stop but it still has to be done by adults in workplaces, people who are contacted by track and trace etc. It’s not just schools it happens In.. We can’t surely want it running rife through places, especially in schools where there is no distancing or masks.

Children and school staff are in massive bubbles which means they are massively more likely to have to isolate than a group of 5 in an office. They also go to restaurants and activities too.

I agree that school children have a far greater number of contacts than most adults, so are more likely to isolate more times.

Also I’m sure they will have to end isolation requirements for the double vaccinated soon, the US have already, I suspect we only can’t because not all adults have had the chance to have both yet
