Anyone had a covid app alert for less than 10 days isolation?

I've looked into this and it seems the app should tell you to isolate 10 from the date in contact with a positive case, however I've only heard of 10 days alert, that should only happen if you've been with someone waiting for test results and receive them that day shouldn't it?!
Has anyone here been told a lesser amount of days than 10?
Also it doesn't say where the contact took place so unsure if it's one my children or myself who needs to isolate because I use my phone to scan in everywhere.

There's a bit on the app that tells you when contact was. Yes people get alerts for less than 10 days depending how long ago contact was.

Its nothing to do with checking in as the app works on Bluetooth and measures proximity and length of time you were near the phone of the person that tested positive.

DD asked to isolate for five days last week - fits in with contact six days before.

Yep-I had 5 days. Look within the app, it tells you the day of exposure.
