Late birthdays and vaccination

My Daughter will be going to University in in September, unfortunately for her she is among the youngest in the school year and wont be 18 until late August meaning her first vaccine dose will not have even kicked in before she has to mix with young people from all over the country.

Shouldn't the vaccine rollout extend to all year 13s, including those who are 18 by the end of the August, to make sure those with late birthdays are vaccinated before heading to university?

OP, I agree that would be a sensible policy. Maybe write to your MP about it? I also have a Year 13 DD who is not yet old enough to be vaccinated. I think it would be in everyone's interests for students to be vaccinated before going to university and sufficiently in advance for some degree of protection to have kicked in.
