Do you think they will vaccinate 16-17 yr olds any time soon?

Going by how many 18 yr olds were keen to get it, it would make sense to move to 16-17 I would have thought as they are old enough to make the choice whether to have it and they will mix a lot outside of school and be working Saturday jobs etc. Do you think they will move on to this age group? haven't seen any news about it.

@User574664

I won’t be vaccinating my child, crazy people would actually do this.
Lucky you that you don't have a child who is CEV or CV. Or a close family member who is CEV or CV.

We would be crazy not to get the vaccine in my family. I can't wait till it's offered to teens. It will be a massive weight lifted.

I think we'll need a while longer with current eligibility, as it moved so rapidly down through ugh the 20s and to over 18s, so there are still many young adults to be done. It would make sense to extend to all 16+ no later than the start of August, so there is reasonable coverage before term starts

Here (not UK) booking has been open to over 12s for about two weeks. It's a bit of a postcode lottery, DD is booked in the nearest hub to us and has hers on 5/8 while friends who were prepared to go to hubs in different towns received about 10 possible centres/dates.
Hopefully, there'll be open days so she might get done earlier.

There’s definitely open days pfizer in both Lazio and Emilia Romagna, you just need to keep tabs on the social media of the councils and region….

@cherin

I’m honestly tempted to send my 17.5yo to a walk in centre as soon as he finishes his mocks, and ask if they have any spares…
Me too..

Which county are you in??? London is so far behind…

cherin · 26/06/2021 19:11

The national average is 83% first dose, 61% two doses. In my borough, it’s 56% and 35%
