Recent vaccine and lateral flow results

When I picked up my lateral flow tests a few weeks ago, the person handing them out sat down with me and showed my how to do one, but first asked me if I’d had a vaccine in the last two weeks. I hadn’t, so that conversation didn’t go any further. Wish I’d asked now!!

I had my second vaccine last week. Next week I need to do a lateral flow test (negative result obviously!) to go to an “in person” meeting.

Will the result be affected by the recent vacccineb(it will be 10 days since the vaccine). It was my second AZ vaccine.

I do them for work, I've had both jabs and so have most of the people I work with. None of the lf's have come back positive.

No they won't, there is no covid virus in the vaccine and you won't test positive due to the vaccine.

Thank you for your replies @kimlo and @nordica.

I wonder why they asked me if I’d had a vaccine recently when I picked up my LFTs?

no idea. I've picked them up from the chemist and a local testing site more than once and they have never asked.
