Has anyone been offered 2nd vaccine before 8 weeks?

I’m going to be exposed to lots of people (thousands) through a work conference soon and the timing of my second vaccine means I won’t be anywhere near good efficacy before then. A week or two earlier would make all the difference. Has anyone been offered their second earlier than 8 weeks?

I know three people who has cancelled and re arranged for earlier. U have to cancel the one you have and re arrange

I had my first AZ on 26 April and the second on 7 June - so 6ish weeks apart.

I had no side effects or discomfort and no one seemed to be bothered about the length of time in between.

I had mine 7 weeks on.

Yes had second pfizer today. First dose was 5 weeks ago tomorrow.

My oh had Pfizer 3.5 weeks apart. He had his second last week. Our area is ploughing through though.

I spoke to 119 today as mine is 8 weeks & the lady I spoke to said that the computer system won’t allow re-booking (or give an alternative earlier date) for less than 8 weeks currently.

I don’t know if the information is specific to my age group (49) & would be interested to hear about how other people have managed to re-arrange it for a sooner date?

Actually I guess it’s area specific then?

I wasn't offered it as such but there was a local walk in clinic for anyone 4+ weeks after their first, so I went there.

Mine was through the gp hub (where I went for my first dose rather than the national booking site). At the gp hub you just make the first vax appointment when they text you and they text you again at a later date to book the second. They say that this will be after 11 weeks, but I got the text just after 4 weeks.
