Anyone had time off work due to side effects from vaccine?

If I worked full time I would. I feel like absolute shit the day after Pfizer jab… if I didn’t have my 3.5 year old with me I would be in bed.

I had the day off after my Janssen jab. I just did a tiny bit of work in the morning that absolutely had to be done that day, but it wasn't very fun. I had a fever and aches and spent the rest of the day on the sofa under a duvet. The next day I was completely better.

Some at my work have had to go home early or have half day off. I don't know what happened with their pay

It would be down to the individual employer to decide

I had my 2nd pfizer jab on a Saturday ( head wouldn't allow time off during school hours for vaccines). Was ill Sunday and missed work on Monday. Other staff also had a day off but with first AZ.

I had a week off in Feb after my second Pfizer vaccine, I work for local authority and got paid in full

I had to take a day and a half off after the AZ vaccine - fortunately my boss had had hers the week before and needed three days off and another senior colleague had two days off just before me! So it was fine. I just could not think or work.

I had the jab Saturday morning and called in sick for my 6am to 4pm shift, did feel rubbish for a few days but had the next week off, would have been fine by Tuesday though.

6am Sunday shift i should have said

No. I felt a bit dodgy but worked from home, so it was ok.

I know if a lot of people who’ve taken a couple of days off and one who took a week off. I wished I had taken two days off after my first jab, but I don’t get any sick pay. Instead I went to work and did as little as humanly possible.

My DH was sick off work the day after his second dose. Pfizer jab.

My fried Great after 1st jab, very ill after second, for 8 days also same for some of her co workers. Had to go for blood tests etc She said she wouldn’t have had the second if the first had been like that Pfizer

Not me (haven't had it yet) but a couple of colleagues have.
