What’s the chance we’ve been exposed?

I just got a call from the dentist to reschedule DD’s appointment as they’re shut due to 2 staff having tested positive today.
DS and I were there Thursday and Friday. We didn’t see the 2 positive staff (neither were in on the Friday, not sure about the Thursday). The 3 staff we saw had masks on, but not covering their noses! (I did point that out, only 1 corrected it…)
Do all dentists/ dental staff do regular LFTs? How often? Is it likely/ possible that they were infectious and we were exposed? I’m double vaccinated and had a mask on, DS is 7 so no vaccine and no mask as he has toothache and won’t tolerate.

Sounds very low risk. Your ds will have had much more risk in school

Very low. Nobody can be more precise than that.

If they weren’t in the day you attended should not be a problem. The dentist would have contacted local PHE directly and been given instructions. They may have had to close because too many staff have to self isolate. Due to PPE we use this is unlikely unless staff have had contact outside of work without PPE.
