Kids party booked after the 21st June

Anyone else was optimistic like me and booked a kids birthday party with more than 30 kids after the 21st June? What are you going to do if restrictions won't get lifted? Cancel, postpone or do you have a different alternative in mind? Thanks

I've booked an outdoor party for DD. I'm splitting it into a party for local/school friends, and a separate picnic for further away for family friends. All outdoors and therefore weather dependent.

Mine are older but I wouldn’t let them attend a large indoor gathering even after the 21st with cases being on the rise and less people seemingly SD or wearing masks,
Not booking anything as all to unknown. Will stick to outdoors as risks are lower there.

In March I was very optimistic, booked several things, I've just cancelled them all as it was last time I could get a refund. Back to outdoor stuff and hoping for good weather

Not this time, but last year we booked a party for DS when we thought it was going to be legal and then the rule of six was introduced. We split the party in half so each child came to either the first half or the second. You could say this was obeying the letter of the law and not the spirit, but bear in mind the kids were all in the same bubble at school so were mixing every day anyway. DS got two party teas so he was happy!

Just all book the same softplay session separately. No rules broken. Kids can play together, adults can have a natter, 6 can sit together and eat lunch .. pretty normal!

We have a large enough outdoor space at the venue but the party is over the current 30 limit and that will be a problem if restrictions remain in place. LeafBeetle splitting the party into 2 is a feasible option.
