Bubbles burst in 3 out of 7 years/classes at school

Just wondering at what point do primary schools close following multiple bubbles bursting.
My local school has had 3 out of the 7 years/classes burst within the past 48hours (including the school nursery which is on site). The school is small and each year only has one class.

As a lone parent, I'm currently wondering how to collect my remaining child as their 2 siblings are at home isolating and the school have sent emails asking parents not to bring isolating children to the school gates. How are other parents managing the school drop offs and pick ups in this instance?

I think Id just keep them off.

Can't you get together with other parents in a similar position and share the schools drop offs/pickups between you?

UserAtRandom · 10/06/2021 12:56

Sorry brain fuddled - I meant of course "parents who are not in the same position" i.e. ones who don't have children self isolating in your non-isolating child's class!

Can you drive and leave them in car?

NannyR · 10/06/2021 13:01

At our school, if you have a child isolating, you are allowed to use the staff car park and drop off/pick up siblings from the office. That only works if you can drive to school though.

Any friends who could see them home? If not I’d just phone the school they may bring tour chi old out to you while you wait a little away from the others with your isolating kids. Assuming that none are old enough to stay home safely.

Thank you!! My plan is now to ask the school to have my DC walk to the gate and I'll pick him up from there. And leave my isolating DCs in the locked car. I'm working from home today so have been lucky and have requested to do the same all of next week (won't work very well and my poor colleagues!!) as I have no childcare!
