Kids sick dh awaiting results

Cerealtoast2 · 09/06/2021 07:08

Dh awaiting results, he has cold, temp, vomiting and diarrhoea and body aches. Both kids now saying they have sore bellys, one has a cold too and bit of temp.
Dh has had one vaccination.

I'm fine had both vaccinations.

Should get results today for dh. If negative would you presume birth kids had same illness or get test for them too?

Test them I would if that was mine, hope they're all better soon xx

Cerealtoast2 · 09/06/2021 07:14

Thanks, that's my gut feeling but getting a bit of pressure from work to return so started to make me doubt.

The one that has a temp needs to be tested anyway if your DH is negative and you all need to isolate until those results are back.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 09/06/2021 07:26

Test for them, stomach issues are a sign in children.

ineedaholidaynow · 09/06/2021 07:37

If they all have stomach upsets, even if it is not COVID, not sure I would want you in work as you could be harbouring something grim!

Cerealtoast2 · 09/06/2021 07:59

@ineedaholidaynow I agree! But my school (!) Wants me in as I have no symptoms...

@Cerealtoast2 that's awful that they want you in!! If and I hope they don't have it but if they did you could be a carrier, your work are being really unreasonable xxx

FireworksAndSparklers · 09/06/2021 08:13

Tell the school you can't come in because the gov say you must stay home of anyone in your household has symptoms unless they all test negative. You're not 'alright' because you've had both vaccines. Like any vaccine they're not 100% effective. Any of your children with symptoms should be tested. Your school are being irresponsible asking you to come so if they do, ask them if they want an outbreak at the school and everyone off at once.

OppsUpsSide · 09/06/2021 08:14

They should know the guidelines!

Mumdiva99 · 09/06/2021 08:18

The right thing to do is get them tested.

How many cases in your post code in the last week? What about I the kids school postcode? If less than 3 I would assume they have what he has. But whatever if your husband is ill and your kids are ill are you needed at home to look after the kids? (I assume they are young.)

TokyoSushi · 09/06/2021 08:35

Yes agree, get them tested, isolate until you have the results, hope everybody is better soon.

Cerealtoast2 · 09/06/2021 08:37

@mumdiva99 yes they're 7 & 5 . I'll check my area now.
I've had 3 messages already from headteacher and SLT to see what time today I can come in- I've explained we have no result yet, so they are waiting on that. I said my dc arent well but we'll see. Going to take them both for a test as 1 has temp other is hot to touch and 37.6 so bit warmer than usual and both not right.

Thanks all
