I've been for a few at one centre and it's about 12 hour turn around! Another and it was 4 days... I think it really depends where you go...

Crunchymum · 07/06/2021 18:46

It's always been within 20 hours here.

Once was about 8 hours iirc.

14 hrs. Last week in Kent.

megletthesecond · 07/06/2021 20:29

I'm about to find out. Took test at 10:30am and the test centre said the tests were collected at 12 lunchtime.
Although mine was a drop in so I had to register my test over the phone when I got home so that might delay it. They said it would probably be 24hrs. I will update when I know.

Maryann1975 · 07/06/2021 20:31

I’ve sent a few children for tests in the past few weeks (work in early years And seem to be averaging a test a week through the setting) and tests have been back within 14 hours, most within 12.

I keep wondering about the variables That get the tests back quickly. Is it based on location? What time the test is taken? How far away are the labs from the test site? (I have no idea where the labs are that do the analysis?)

Crunchymum · 07/06/2021 21:19

Test was done at 9.30am so hoping to hear something overnight.

Last one we had to do was 20 hours (same test site) so fingers crossed.

My daughter and another child were tested at roughly the same time, but at different centres. The other child had his back in 14 hours, ours took 20.
