UK holiday insurance

Can anyone recommend travel insurance for a UK break that would cover if you are unable to go because of a need to self isolate?

I have a caravan holiday in the Uk booked for the end of July. Assuming we’re not in lockdown again I’m really looking forward to it.

My only concern is the possibility of my DC finishing school a few days before and getting a notification that they’re a close contact and need to isolate (or one of us actually testing positive of course). Bye bye holiday! It’s only 4 nights in any case.

Does anyone have any insurance that would pay out in these cases? It’ll be absolutely gutting having to cancel and even more so if we can’t get our money back. Thanks!

I've literally just bought staysure insurance for this very reason. Says it covers you if you have to self isolate or if there is another lockdown. Wasn't that expensive either.

It might be worth checking with the company/people who've booked with. I did this and if holiday was cancelled due to restrictions/isolation deposit (and balance if paid) could be carried over for a future holiday (luckily no time limit for booking). I got it in writing.

Staysure will cover you for this.
