Has anyone had the Delta variant and not been vaccinated yet?

The delta/Indian variant is circulating in my area. We had a message from the local authority.
I haven’t yet had either jab as I’m mid twenties. I’m also exclusively breastfeeding so wanted to wait a little while anyway.

Has anyone had it and not been vaccinated, what were your symptoms like? I know it’s different in everyone, but I’m a bit anxious.

One of my work colleagues has it. He said it feels like flu but with no sinus problems.

He did send a picture of him sat in his back yard having a pint and a fag though so I'm not sure he's actually feeling that bad!

People in Bolton and other areas definitely have, it's been on the news for a couple of weeks now in relation to them needing hospital treatment

@AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair is that young people needing hospital treatment? And do they mean ICU or something else?

Yes, I’ve got the virus now and I’m breastfeeding. Please please please get the vaccine. I’ve lost my sense of taste and smell and it’s very depressing. I was eligible for the vaccine this week but it was already too late. I must have caught it from one of the (extremely full) antenatal waiting rooms.
