How long are test results taking at the moment?

Hi,

Just wondering how long people have had to wait for test results recently. I have a test booked tomorrow morning (Oxford) and don’t know if results are taking longer now cases are rising again.

Tested at 4pm, result received at 8am next morning. That was over the bank holiday too.

Test Thursday 430pm, result via email at 3am.

Tested at 9.30am on Monday and got results at 10pm that evening.

We did a test last week at 9am and results and back just after midnight so less than 24 hours, and that was at a test centre in a surge area.

Tested Tuesday morning at 8.30. Results back evening at around 10. In the SE. Negative result.

My sister tested on Monday evening and didn't get her results back until Thursday morning.

West Midlands.

DD tested at 1pm Friday, results 10 hours later at 11pm. Central Scotland, if that makes any difference

We sent off our home tests 11.30am Thursday and haven't heard yet.
Normally they've been so fast at the drive through centres but I have no car currently.

Daughter tested at 8am but no results yet and typically her cough has completely vanished! 🙄

I’m sure your dd’s test will be negative but my cough only lasted a few hours when I tested positive for covid in December.

Just updating to say negative result received 2:30am this morning, so 18 hours after testing.

Central Scotland states 24 to 48 hours but in reality the labs are working hard and results are typically about 12 hours or just over to process.

Just updating to say that we received a negative result at 3am (I’m glad I didn’t stay up waiting!). She has been coughing again this morning so I’m glad we tested.

Tested Friday 10am, got the result 8pm same day!

We're still waiting. I phoned them today and they've escalated it. So frustrating.
