Gove in alternative to self isolation pilot

www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-57355599. Sorry if there is a thread about this already, but I'm just a bit shocked at the naked disdain it shows for Joe Public.

Why on earth can't Gove self isolate like everyone else? Surely his job can be done at home or does he need to be there in person to sneak round and build alliances or whatever it is he does. Surely if there is a pilot it should be used for those who genuinely have to work in person and would suffer financial hardship if they miss the work.

Also what was he doing there in the first place ? I get Portugal was Green and he is allowed to travel, but surely the government should be showing the merest modicum of self restraint by staying in the UK in the circumstances.

I thought I was beyond being angry about Coronavirus but its the not even attempting to hide the screw you to the general public who would have to self isolate, that's got me riled up.

Think there is a long thread in AIBU about this already.

I've read a thread about this today, apparently lots of people are doing the same trial. It doesn't appear to be anything special for MPs
