Anything else going around at the minute?

Ds 5 became unwell on Tuesday night with a slight temp, he had calpol and the temp hasn't returned, Wednesday he became really snotty with a very slight cough and then last night in bed was coughing a lot, the cough is productive and sounds like it's coming from his chest, he's been coughing quite a lot this morning and is still really snotty, he has that look of being unwell that kids usually have so I'm just wondering if there is anything else going around at the minute?

*he had a covid test this morning we are currently waiting for the results!

My 15 month old had a nasty virus last week and is still not himself, temp up and down to almost 40 for a few days and cough, runny nose.

DP and I had a mild fever for a couple days, and what felt like the start of a sore throat for one morning only. It was bizarre if I’m honest.

That’s good news @yellowmustard Smile

Half our nursery have had a horrible cold and cough all tested for Covid and all negative. Its just the usual bugs but made way more inconvenient by the worry about Covid, having to get a test etc.

I think the difficulty with your question OP is that something going round in London for example, doesn’t make much difference to you if you live in Glasgow!

Half of the children in my child's reception class has been off at some point in the two weeks before half term for testing with a bug. All negative for covid.

They all had a day or two of fever and feeling grotty with sniffles, then a day of a bit of an iffy tummy and have finished up with a bumpy itchy rash on arms and legs!

Not particularly nasty and definitely not covid (us adults all had the cold part too, also negative for covid).

There's loads of things still flying around.

We all came down with a cold on the last day of school before half term, all tested negative for covid. I still can't smell or taste but that's because my nose is bunged up and I sound like dopey the dwarf!! I'm just relieved it was over half term so the kids didn't miss any more school than they already have while waiting for the test results.

We've all had this grim cold with cough and temp that read like covid. All tests for covid came back negative. It's lingering on the chest which is debilitating but hoping it'll ease up soon. I'm on day 6 and still pretty wiped.

There’s an awful upper respiratory thing that’s not Covid at our nursery. We’ve all had it at home and 3 weeks in all still struggling. It’s the worst cough I’ve had in decades and it comes with mouth ulcers, swollen glands and an agonising sore throat. We were quite sure it’s Covid but 2 PCR tests each say negative (we tested at the start then again 2.5 weeks later as we were all getting worse.
