Has anyone moved moderna appointment?

Hello, has anyone under 50 managed to successfully to move their moderna vacc to an early date to make it an 8 week gap between their first and second vaccine?

managed it very easily with AZ. But i think there will be less availability to move it to an earlier moderna.

I haven't carried out this strategy yet, but I volunteer in various vaccination centres a couple of times a week, and at the AZ and Pfizer ones I volunteer at regularly I am always being asked at the end of the day if I want a jab when they have half a pack to use up after the last appointment. The nearest Moderna centre is a bit more difficult for me to get to so I don't volunteer there regularly, but my plan is to volunteer for the last shift of the day there as often as possible after the 8 week point from my 1st Moderna vaccine, in the hopes that sooner or later there will be a spare dose for me. My appointment for my 2nd dose is at a place even more difficult to get to, so it will be worth it to be able to cancel if I can get a dose done earlier.

You could do this from 4 weeks I guess as that's what the vaccine was approved for.

Over 50s here don't have 2nd appointments through yet. Maybe once over 50s are done then they'll be able to fit you in.

I took the chance and cancelled my 2nd Moderna appointment in the hope I could get an earlier one, but the soonest option I was given was the same day again. I am under 40.

Update for anyone interested: I'm under 40 and have managed to bring my Moderna vaccine forward by 3 weeks.

I've just cancelled and rebooked my 2nd moderna 3 weeks earlier. I've been trying for weeks but this has been first time they've opened up earlier appointments.
(the times I've cancelled previously I've always been able to rebook the same time slot by the way).

I've brought mine forward this morning by 3 weeks so seems it's now possible.

I bought mine forward this morning by 10 days. I've booked a hugely inconvenient slot work-wise but thought it was better to get it done.

Wasn’t possible before but the system seems to have updated in the last few days and it now lets you book / move Moderna from 8 weeks.
