Arm/armpit aches & pains nearly 4 weeks after second Pfizer jab?

InterstellarOverdrive · 28/05/2021 10:14

After 1st jab I had swollen glands for a good few weeks. Also felt rough for a while, which peaked around ten days after jab.
2nd time round I had a horrible headache the day after and then swollen glands again for a few days. However my whole arm, particularly armpit and inner elbow, is still feeling achy and I can't lie on my left side in bed because it hurts or feels very strange. I think my glands are still swollen there. Seems to be worse when I'm run down, which I am at the moment.
Does anyone else have this feeling? I'm getting really fed up with it now. Just want my left arm to feel normal again!

I have a shoulder injury not jab related (wrong arm ) with some of those symptoms but not swollen glands. I think you need to talk to your GP if this has been going on a while, whatever the cause.

I had my first Pfizer jab last Friday and I got DH to look at my armpit today to check there wasn't a lump as it's been feeling achy! It's on the same side I had my vaccine. I've been feeling exhausted all week as well which I think could also be related.

Agree you should get this checked by a doctor and complete a yellow card for the vaccine coronavirus-yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/campaignpage - this is what the AZ leaflet says www.gov.uk/government/publications/regulatory-approval-of-covid-19-vaccine-astrazeneca/information-for-uk-recipients-on-covid-19-vaccine-astrazeneca :
If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.

If you are concerned about a side-effect it can be reported directly via the Coronavirus Yellow Card reporting site or search for MHRA Yellow Card in the Google Play or Apple App Store and include the vaccine brand and batch/Lot number if available.

By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this vaccine.

I really hope you feel better soon Flowers

I have swollen glands in my armpit and a pain in my left breast (assuming it's a lymph node too). Now a week post-2nd (Pfizer) vaccination. It's definitely improving, but I really dislike the pain in my breast. I was a little sore after the first vaccine, bit this is much worse.

Interesting thread. I've had pain in my left breast for past two days, after having 1st dose of Pfizer.

I had armpit pain both sides as part of a weird long Covid type reaction I think I've had to my second Pfizer. Very weird place to have pain, esp with no swollen glands.

I had pain in my left breast for around 10 days after my 1st Pfizer. I was about to try to get a GP appointment as it was quite concerning but it vanished overnight. About 3 or 4 weeks later I had a routine mammogram and I mentioned it to the nurse when I arrived. She said they had had quite a few reports from women experiencing pain in the breast after Pfizer.

I had the 2nd Pfizer with no similar side-effects, just a sore arm.

I think you should all google SIRVA, shoulder injury related to vaccine administration. Hundreds of people including myself have been affected.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I will contact my gp on Tuesday if no better. I do actually feel slightly better today but still have aching in various places. Mainly armpits and inner elbows and shoulder around the injection site. Hopefully it will improve. It really freaked me out first time round and I did a yellow card report then. Will definitely do another.

@InterstellarOverdrive did you contact your gp? I had my first pfizer jab 5 weeks ago and have been having breast and armpit pain ever since (on the same side as the jab). My gp wants to see next week for an examination. The more I google the more common I see this reaction lymphatic reaction is.
