Psoriasis treatment and covid

I've been prescribed dovobet for psoriasis treatment by dermatology. Does anyone know if this works as an immunosuppressant? All I know it's a potent steroid treatment.

And should I worry about using this lowering my immunity following vaccination to covid?

No I don't believe it does, DH has it prescribed and he specifically can't be prescribed some other medication because it is an immunosuppressant and they don't want him on it due to Covid.

It’s a topical steroid that’s all

It has no systemic action

Ps when you come off please taper because the rebound flare can be a right bitch

I'm on methotrexate which is immunosuppressive but my dermatologist says my immune system is overactive to start with.

yup topical steroid so will have a local immunosuppressant response on the area where you apply it, but no systemic effects Flowers

That's good to know, I'm on a 6 week course, to be followed by some sort of ointment. So the vaccine should still have good protection for me?
