Horrible depression after AZ vaccine?

Had first AZ jab and seemed ok apart from flu like symptoms which ended after 24 hours. Now feeling really low mood . Anyone else experienced this? If so how long does it last ?

I had this and I'm still not back to normal (my vaccination was about six weeks ago). My mum had the same thing, but hers only lasted a few days.

I haven't, but sorry to hear you feel crap. After any illness or vaccine you can get depleted of vitamins and minerals. Vitamin D (liquid / liquid capsules) or B12 are possible deficiencies that can cause depression that I know of, there may be others. You can try topping up, but it's worth a chat with your GP for a blood test to confirm if it's that or something else.

My friend was suicidal for 7 days following her first AZ vaccine. Was awful to watch by day 8 she woke up her normal self x

Millions of peoppe are having low mood due to ongoing restrictions, uncertainty and crap weather. It's easy to pin hopes on being vaccinated or dates of release and find them an anti-climax. There could well be a strong element of that going on.

It’s really horrible but of some comfort to know it’s temporary. I’m kind of feeling a bit regretful about going ahead with it tbh

Yes I did for two weeks, really depressed feeling of doom. It passed.

I had Moderna not AZ and have been down this week. I think it's because it was such an anti climax. It's something I've been waiting for for so long, then counting down the days till it reached my age group...then nothing... nothing has changed. Maybe I should have celebrated, I guess it doesn't help that I I have a young child and so can't do anything that was previously restricted, like go to the pub.

I don't usually feel depressed apart from when I have an illness. But I certainly did after my second moderna vaccine. After a week, I feel back for normal. It was very unpleasant.
