Pregnant women - vaccine

Hello all :)
Those of you who are pregnant and have received the vaccine, were you offered the Pfizer one automatically? Did they know you were pregnant when you arrived at the vaccination centre - is the a list they cross check?

The NHS website mentions the Pfizer or Moderna ones are preferred when pregnant, but does not clearly state pregnant women will be offered those.

I had mine last week. I had Pfizer. I’m under 40 so would have only been offered that or Moderna.

There is supposed to be a tick box online now to say your pregnant. It wasn’t when i booked mine.

If you turn up and they only use AZ, you can refuse and re book x

Had it yesterday. Automatically got Pfizer as I'm under 40 so no longer able to get AZ anyway.

If you are under 40 they don't offer AZ as standard now, so you'll def get Pfizer or Moderna

Went today, was told I'd have Pfizer before they knew I was pregnant. Ditto at the (different) centre I went to last week - FYI when they ask about the flu vaccine, they actually mean ANY vaccine, including Whooping cough, so don't book within 7 days of having that jab.

My understanding is all first jabs are now Pfizer.

@girlmama3 what tick box, where? I'm in Scotland, we get a letter invitation in the post, we don't book ourselves as far as I know.

@waitingfornormality I didn't know that, I thought it was Pfizer for under 30s, not under 40s. Good to know!

Ah, sorry. In England we can book it online x
