Had AZ jab today, driving 6 hours on Thursday

I’m 43, had my first AZ jab today, I couldn’t have it before because I was unwell with another viral infection.
Anyway I know side effects can be nasty with this one, I’m due to drive 6 hours on Thursday for a break by the coast for a couple of days.

Will I be on to do that by then? Those of you who have already had it I mean.

Thanks 🙏

I felt rough for a day, but was back at my exercise class the day after that. It would be very unlikely to have any effects after 5 days.

I had my first AZ at the beginning of March age 39, I was shivery and achy for about 12 hours afterwards, 24 hours post jab I felt normal apart from a lingering sore arm. Had my second dose last week, had a sore arm and a mild headache for a day but that was it.

@lljkk

The only person I know who had symptoms lasting as long as 5 days, I don't know why she went to vaccine appointment. She doesn't like the idea of it in her body. She argued with the staff while there & finally agreed to get AZ jab. 20 minutes after leaving she started with terrible nausea & a long list of symptoms that took weeks to get better. (And even she was very glad her elderly dad got the vacc)

Everyone else has nothing or feels between mildly & moderately wrong at some point after jab until about 36 hours later (at latest).

90% psychological if you ask me lol they sound like the type. I know one. They get hyper conscious of every little ache, discomfort or twinge (which we all get from around 40 I think) and this causes what seems like physical symptoms. All in the mind IMO. Distract them for a bit and they won't feel a thing.
