How long to receive Covid vaccine confirmation email and text?

I booked my Covid vaccines earlier this morning and I have the booking references which I printed out from the website (quite glad I did).

However, I inputted the details to have an email and text confirmation sent to me but I haven’t received them yet.

I suspect this may be due to the fact that there are so many people booking at once that they have had to implement a queuing system on the website. So there is probably just a huge delay in sending these thing out, maybe?

However, part of me is worried that I have inputted the wrong detail and now someone will turn up and have my vaccine!

I know it sounds bonkers, but how likely is it that someone could use the email or text without actually knowing who I am beforehand?

For those of you that had a confirmation email/ text do they actually contain any of your personal details?

If they don’t contain those details I would imagine it’ll be unlikely anyone can claim my appointment?

Not sure why someone would but nothing would fully surprise me.

Maybe I should just relax?

Apparently it’s a big issue for them and they’re getting countless phone calls about it.

I had to re book my 2nd for a week later, it came through about an hour before the jab just after I received a reminder

Mine came through in a matter of minutes..... my partners didn't come through at all. He phoned 119 2 weeks after booking on line and they confirmed the booking - I think it is quite a common issue!

My DH never got one. Mine took about 12 hours. We both booked at the same time and both had confirmation on the screen when we booked

Email came straight away, text came after I had the jab, 48 hours later.

There’s no personal info on there, just the booking reference and the time and date. When you go they check your personal info again.

Yes, when I booked my mum’s for her it doesn’t say much, just the booking details that you get on screen anyway. It just doesn’t feel “complete” without it!

I booked mine on Thursday and still don't have the confirmation. Also didn't write down the booking reference, but they still jabbed me - they found me on the system using my name and date of birth.

It took mine what felt like ages to come through (probably a couple of weeks) but I’d printed the booking confirmation off the website so I wasn’t too worried. My DH didn’t get any confirmation (he had been invited via the GP) and my friends got confirmation the day after they booked so I think it varies!

I booked mine on Monday, had the jab this morning and still not had my confirmation!

I only needed the booking number - luckily I’d taken a screenshot of it. Maybe it’ll turn up before my second appointment in August!

I may double check with 119 if I don’t get anything then, rather than cancel and rebook.

I never received my second dose email confirmation and I had no problem when I went to the vaccination site, I was on their list.

What happens if you go to Manage my bookings? The second appointment details should be there.

119 will be able to give you your booking references if you don’t have them. The lady I spoke to gave me mine today, even though I did have them already.

You don't always get an email and text now, I phoned a couple of weeks ago and was told something in their system had stopped sending them out. It doesn't matter though, you've got all your details. I didn't even get appointment reference numbers!

No confirmation for me either! And forgot to take down my booking references (oops)
Was able to retrieve via 119
