How long are PCR results taking at the moment?

Just that really. Had both kids tested todays - just my luck as everything reopens I get quarantined with two snotty, gritty kids!
In the south east - tested at the Guildford drive through if that makes as difference. Last time it was 6days!!! Hoping it’ll be quicker this time...

I did one a couple of Saturdays ago and got results that evening.

I did one last week at Tuesday 12pm
Results 7.45pm Wednesday evening
South east. Walk through test site

I took DD for a test at 9.30 on Monday morning and the results came through (negative, thankfully!) at about 8pm that night. Hope it's quick for you OP!

Ooh this is sounding promising - might get them into school this week. Regretting snaffling all the packed lunch food now. Hopefully if we get a -ve soon they’ll be well enough to go to school but still not have much of an appetite!

Ours took 21 hours, Monday 8am test 5am email and the next came an hour or two later, I assume so as not to wake us up to early if sound left on phone.

We had three of us tested at the weekend all results back in 12 hours. Good luck.
