....he’s asleep now. I’m sure cough will not be an issue in the morning - he’s had a very snotty nose. No temp. No one else here ill. Do I send DD into school tomorrow?

@MakkaPakkasSpongyThing

I’ve just done it! Had cartoons on my iPhone, climbed in the back, he strongly objected to the swab, but I kept poking it back up!! Reckon I got about 8 seconds up there.

The really idiotic thing I did was open the car window when lady approached me! She was waving a number at me - and then it suddenly dawned on me - she wants me to phone her!!

Thanks for all the help here everyone!

Well done! Swabbing toddlers is no easy task. We required 2 adults!! Aaaah.

Fingers crossed that the results come back soon and are negative.

I can understand individuals getting the process wrong sometimes but not a bloody school 🤦🏻‍♀️

They should have a flow chart by the phone telling them what to do. Fingers crossed it's negative!

@Haenow thank you!

@lunar1 precisely - that’s a major boo-boo. How many other parents have they said that to? Big thanks to posters here - they have been put straight!

When mixing starts in England and all kids get common colds. It will be like last year where thousands of tests were done and under 50 were positive.

The govt need to sort out the testing rules.

I think continuous cough, regardless of any other factors, means you all need to self isolate and get the symptomatic family member tested with PCR test.
