Booked covid vaccine for today but no booking reference or confirmation!

Last night I managed to book a covid vaccine for me, for today- or so I thought! I didn't receive any confirmation or a booking reference but I thought this was normal as I had never booked one before. However I've just booked DHs abs it then took me to a screen with two booking references which it said to make a note of as he will need to bring them later.

I then assumed mine hadn't worked so I have tried to book another appointment but it must think I have one booked as it keeps asking me for the reference number! What should I do, should I just turn up today at the appointment time? It's just a pharmacy not a vaccination centre if that makes sense.
Any help appreciated as its 1pm today

If you go to book again, can you see your reference number?

Did you book both appointments? Was there a booking confirmation screen? My text confirmation came through later.

Not sure if you booked through the nhs website but if you did, call 119 and they can tell you. I did that on Monday when I didn't get any texts to confirm my booking. I waited hours for them to show then gave 119 a call.

If you used the national nhs system you can't get into the appointments unless you have the number, 119 is your best bet

Have you checked your spam / junk folder in your emails in case it's there?

This happened to me, I just turned up a bit early and was on the list, they let me in straight away. Then I got my confirmation that evening which had my second booking on too.

Yeah actually, the fact that it's now asking you for your booking ref means you do have them, which means you are booked in! So if you can remember the times then I do think you could just rock up. If you can, I'd give 119 a call tho in case you need to provide your booking ref at the place (altho they can probably find you just with name, DOB etc)

Call 119 which is what I did- as long as you have a reference number it is not a problem.

This happened to me last night. I've had my first jab, so was trying to changed the date of my second injection. It looked to have gone through but I didn't get the text/email to confirm. I couldn't log back on to check because I needed the booking reference.

I ended up ringing 119. The lady was able to log on and confirm the appointment had been booked. She gave me the booking reference and I have been able to log on and print a copy off.

I did need the booking reference when I went for my first injection, so you might need it too.

Thanks all, the NHS system was down when I called the first time but an hour later she was able to confirm the appointment and give me a booking reference for both jabs.

DH booked his at 3pm yesterday and still hasn't had confirmation. Luckily he still had the tab open on his phone so managed to get the number from there.

I booked mine last week via the NHS website (1st jab yesterday), I requested email and text confirmation but never received either - I did make sure I had a screenshot of my booking numbers and times/dates just to be safe.

Anyway I arrived yesterday and all was fine, I was on the list, so I can only assume that the system gets overwhelmed at times and texts/emails don’t get sent.

If in doubt always take a screenshot!
