@LarsErickssong ooh that's helpful! I found this

💉 The AFC Fylde COVID-19 vaccine centre is offering walk-in appointments to anyone over 18 today and Friday. Open 10-1 and 2-5. It’s the Pfizer vaccine. Just turn up 👍

I wish I wasn't stuck at work or I'd get 17 year old ds and drive up there from Cheshire!

Yes that's what I've seen a friend post on Instagram but not sure on exact details, I've got a meeting at 1.30 then after that I'm going to ask my boss if I can finish early! If not I'll try AFC Fylde on Friday lunch time 🤞🏻

HildegardNightingale · 12/05/2021 13:30

I live approx 5 mins drive from grasshoppers. I have been knocking on my neighbours doors to let them know about this (I’ve already had both doses as I’m an oldie and work in a vax centre and my neighbours are much younger than me.

QueenPaw · 12/05/2021 13:56

@HildegardNightingale same! My boss and a few colleagues have been, I'm WFH so let a few neighbours know too as it's so close by

Just arrived in Preston and no walk ins left.
Gutted.

HildegardNightingale · 12/05/2021 14:00

@QueenPaw Red Rose rules!!

QueenPaw · 12/05/2021 14:02

@Peachi82 oh crap. Fylde AFC are doing them as well if you're anywhere near there? Today and Friday apparently

OP posts:
HildegardNightingale · 12/05/2021 14:03

@Peachi82 so sorry for you. Can you try Flybe AFC?

HildegardNightingale · 12/05/2021 14:04

@QueenPaw sorry my computer was acting up. I’ve asked for that post to be deleted.

LadyCatStark

I have seen your post too late, I'm already back home.

Gutted, but nothing I can do.

I am 38, so there is hope that I will be called soon anyway. Can't be soon enough though.

Gutted grasshoppers have run out, AFC Fylde (just off the M55 at Kirkham) are doing the same again on Friday apparently so I might try there.

grikka · 12/05/2021 16:25

Many thanks for this information, made it to Fylde , got two jabs done, hugely relieved that my potentially vulnerable dc now vaccinated.

HildegardNightingale · 12/05/2021 16:48

@grikka that’s great news.

QueenPaw · 12/05/2021 19:55

Oh that's fab. I reckon it's worth keeping an eye on the vaccine centre pages in case they post again. If I see any more I'll add it to here

this will be to try target the low uptake of minority groups in preston and surrounding areas .

im lancs and our village has had loads of these 'walk ins' but they've only been open to those registered with local gps - not people even in next town so do check before driving to drop ins

QueenPaw · 12/05/2021 20:16

@Watapalava ah that's interesting. My boss went today and he's over more leyland way registered and was fine so I guess it depends on the centre
I didn't realise some areas were lower uptake naively
