A number of my colleagues who are early 40s have been struggling to get appointments which aren’t 50 plus miles away so it would seem counter productive at the moment to open it up to more. (Essex area)

pizzaobsessed · 07/05/2021 20:56

I rang my doctors today (Bedfordshire) to ask and they said they'd no idea until the government announce it.

vaxmeup · 07/05/2021 21:04

I'd say at the beginning of June for appointments via National Booking as first doses are running at 120k per day on average and as a pp mentioned, early 40s are still struggling to get appointments.

However lots of 30s being invited by GPs already though, seems quite random.

HairyFloppins · 07/05/2021 21:09

I got invited earlier by GP link. 39 North Staffs.

user19097527484949 · 07/05/2021 21:10

Oh cool ! I wonder how they decide who gets a link from the GP / or an invite via national booking !

South Wales, 34 appt Sunday for moderna. They're not offering AZ to anyone under 40 here.

whataballbag · 07/05/2021 21:11

EXP got an invite today from his GP, he's only bloody 30!

CynsterBitch · 07/05/2021 21:11

I think they’ll start late 30s next week, just a hunch though. Probably just projecting coz I really really just want someone to stick me with a needle now Grin

HairyFloppins · 07/05/2021 21:11

No idea, but I was only allowed to book one centre which is doing Pfizer that day.

whataballbag · 07/05/2021 21:11

East Lancs if that's any help

Caramel81 · 07/05/2021 21:12

My brother in law who is 38 got his last weekend (Derbyshire)

AlfieandAnnieRose · 07/05/2021 21:12

My friend has had her invite today, she’s 39

LBOCS2 · 07/05/2021 21:13

I got a call yesterday inviting me for a jab next week, I'm booked in for Tuesday.

36, Croydon borough.

MsMeNz · 07/05/2021 21:14

I don't know anyone who's got a gp message or call up how does that work do all surgerys do that or just surgerys that do vaccines and if your surgery doesn't give vaccines out then you are at a disadvantage to ones that do?

WhiteChocTwix · 07/05/2021 21:15

39, Surrey, got the GP text this morning. Booked for Tuesday next week.

whataballbag · 07/05/2021 21:15

Our surgery doesn't give out the vaccines they book you in at the local hub

30's have been invited in Devon for a few weeks now...although not in all areas....bizarre!

0hMy · 07/05/2021 21:17

I’m (very) early 30s and have had my first, as have a lot of my friends of a similar age. The Midlands are smashing through them.

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 07/05/2021 21:29

My SIL is 38 and was invited for hers last week. South Yorkshire

nordica · 07/05/2021 21:30

Lots of people who have been following the roll out closely are predicting it will open to the 35-39 group next week and then the rest of the 30s cohort late May... Fingers crossed!

TruelyWonder · 07/05/2021 22:00

Hugo in the i newspaper is reporting we will be getting 4.5 million vaccine doses delivered a week now.

So if that is true I can't imagine people will have long to wait. The first doses should increase soon.

User82517 · 07/05/2021 22:04

My best friend had hers on Wednesday and is 38. She was sent link to book by her GP surgery. We are in West Yorkshire.

Lucidas · 07/05/2021 22:23

Officially, it’ll as soon as they’ve sorted out the national booking system to enable a choice of vaccines for under 40s. So within a few days.

Potaytocrisps · 07/05/2021 22:23

Several family members in their 30s (some only just!) have been done in a vaccination centre in Belfast.

Yorkshirepudding1987 · 07/05/2021 23:49

Partner and a couple of friends age 35 invited today via GP. West Yorkshire
