How were you after your AZ vaccine?

I’m having my first this afternoon. I’m pretty certain it’s AZ as that’s the one everyone is having just now, in my area.

I have some tutoring this evening (via zoom!) and I am not sure if I should cancel or not. I know some people are totally fine afterwards but many seem to be a bit crappy.

How have you all been with it?

I had absolutely no side effects after mine apart from sleeping really well.

I'm 29 and was awful after mine. Migraine symptoms within an hour and then was in bed all weekend (after jab on a Friday).

From what I've read, it's worse the younger you are.

No side effects at all, not even a sore arm. Maybe I got a dud

I was like missypuff I got a horrible headache about an hour later then I was aching all over with chills and just felt awful I was in bed for two days. I'm 39

Really aching arm and a bit achy all over , but am taking paracetamol. Feel tired. Haven’t had to be off work - although am very much looking forward to going home in an hour!

4hrs after my arm started to ache then 6hrs after my head started pounding and i had to lie down then i started to get flu like symptoms. Almost exactly 24hrs after the injection i felt fine.

My mum, partner and friend all followed exactly the same pattern but then another friend had no side affects at all.

Well thanks for all that. I ended up getting the Pfizer one instead!

Why do people call them side effects? It's an immune response and there's no way of telling how your own immune system is going to react/overreact. With any of them.

Had mine 5pm on Saturday. Have felt fine since. Nothing at all.
