Moderna in south London

Hi,

is anyone know where is having Moderna in south London? AFC Wimbledon was having last week but seems that this week no.

So any hint where we can find Moderna will be welcome.

Are these threads not pointless? AFC Wimbledon did do Moderna last week, que lots of MN excitement from some and people booking and then, as you say it is AZ this week. Due to supply issues, what is happening on any one day or week is not guide to another day/week.

Based on the method that some have shared on mumsnet it seems Wimbledon will be doing Moderna next week from Wednesday onwards.

I’m booked in there for Monday. I know it’s been listed as a designated centre for pregnant women now, hoping they are are giving it to everyone.

Guys. centre 1 is doing Moderna.

I was told to try for Guys or AFC and if the second dose options come up as those centres only rather than lots of pharmacies then it's Moderna or Pfizer

It has to do with the fact only a few places in the whole country are doing Moderna. When you go to book your first vaccine on the online system, choose one that you know is doing it (currently Islingon Business Design Centre is doing only Moderna, for example). Then select "no" to the question about whether you want your second vaccine at the same location. The list that comes up should then be really short and quite widely spread i.e. I'm in London but one was option was Robertson House in Stevenage. You can then go back and choose "yes" to having it at the same place if you prefer, or change it later, but it should mean you're getting Moderna.

As far as I know, it's only at Islington BDC, Guys Centre 1 and Wimbledon ACF in London. As there's so little of the Moderna vaccine on order, I have a feeling they won't change the venues.

@nordica thank you so much for clarifying this, very helpful, more than the clotting issue I'm concerned about lower the efficacy rate of AZ. I have booked with Madjeski and tried your method it only showed 4 locations, fingers crossed for Saturday that's when a going to have mine!
