My sister is going to the hub in York today and will take whatever is offered but has mild aspergers and wants to know in advance what it will be. She’s an anxious person who just likes information so hoping I can give her the info. She’s not worried about side effects.

Dh has and got AZ. (No side effects to speak of, though I know you didn’t ask that.)

I had Moderna a couple of weeks ago, know one person who had Pfizer quite a while ago and everyone else has had Oxford AZ. Sorry, i know that doesn't help in the slightest but think it completely depends on their supplies on any given day. Hope it goes well.

No - you'll be allocated a specific vaccine when you book.

Sorry OP - there's no chance you can find out in advance - but if it helps when you get to the centre, you first visit a desk where you check in and they tell you at this point what vaccine you're going to receive.

If you want to think about this for a bit, you can do, before going to the cubicles where the person due to give you the vaccine will first ask you if you have any concerns.

At no point do you feel rushed.

When I got mine they told us while we were waiting in the queue.

It was more a straw poll really than a certainty, to help give her more control. I’m personally less of an AZ fan (though that’s what I had) so would be happy if she got Moderna but obviously will keep my trap shut either way.

I'm not in York but unless there is only one vaccination centre and it always gets the same one no one will be able to tell you. The system doesn't work like that, tbh I'm really surprised that you would think it could do.

Trust me neurodiverse people in third world countries don’t have that option - most people no matter what their nurodiversity are just thinking they’ve won the lottery when vaccinated!
