Question for those who have done a home test

I returned my DCs home test kit yesterday and followed the tracking and saw it was delivered to the lab at 9.45pm last night. I just received a reminder to complete and return the test. Since the lab is hopefully already processing the test, shouldn’t the system have recognised that I’d already returned it? I’m sure I did the online registration correctly.

Did others receive a reminder more than 24 hours after the postal collection?

Panicking as I was really hoping that we’d get a result in time for DD to go to school tomorrow. Now worrying I registered incorrectly or my test has somehow been mislaid. Thanks.

Yes, I got a reminder after it had already been delivered back to the lab. I think it's just an automated thing.

You may still get the results before school tomorrow!

Thanks for the reassurance. I called 119 but they weren’t very helpful and just told me to call back if I hadn’t had the result within 3 days. She did say it was “odd” that I’d received a reminder.
