Anyone had second jab after no reaction to the first one?

Had AZ in Feb due to being an unpaid carer. I’m 30 and had AZ, a bit nervous about the second one soon with blood clots etc.

Anyway, after the first dose I had no side effects, barely any arm pain either.

Anyone had their first with no side effects (particularly AZ). What was your second one like? Was it the same second time around? Or is their risk I could feel poorly after?

Tia 😊

No sorry, I had side effects with the first and none with the second.
TBH I was quite ‘happy’ to have side effects with the first as I never get them with the flu jab so I often wonder if it’s actually taken 🤣

Florelei · 02/05/2021 08:37

I had side effects with both. The side effects after the second started more quickly but were much less severe.

My aunt had no side effect with the first jab and just had a bit of a headache after the second. This may not even have been related.

0blio · 02/05/2021 08:38

I had no side effects with the first jab but felt lousy for a couple of days after the second. I ached all over and felt exhausted.

whataballbag · 02/05/2021 08:44

I felt like shite after my first AZ jab in feb.

Due the second next week and v nervous about it, not so much about feeling a bit crappy but with the whole blood clot situation as I have severe health anxiety and I'm only 29 😐

isittimetogotobed · 02/05/2021 08:45

I had no reaction to the first but a swollen armpit with the second

PurplePumpkinDream · 02/05/2021 09:06

No reaction with first and no reaction with second. I agree the blood clot stories have worried a lot of people, while first time round we were unawares.

Todayisanabsolutevanilladay · 02/05/2021 09:10

Felt more tired after second one but that's it really.

Me too regarding the blood clot thing being 30. Hoping the risk is minimal if we’ve had no major issues with the first!

Had two Pfizer jabs. Felt a little tired both times. Had a short spell of a funny taste after the second one.

DeadButDelicious · 02/05/2021 11:49

I had my second jab on Wednesday.

I was tired with a sore arm the day after the first jab back in February and it was much the same after the second, if anything I would say I was a bit more tired this time around. Other than that I've been fine.

springisintheair2021 · 02/05/2021 11:52

Two Pfizer jabs. Nil effects with both
I did have Covid before the vaccines. I wonder how much of a difference this makes ( I was very ill with Covid)

ThisIsSimplyBeyond · 02/05/2021 11:55

I'm 35 (though CEV) and I have had both AZ jabs - no reaction to either.

MarinPrime · 02/05/2021 12:34

Just a mild headache for a short time with the first jab.
Various aches and pains and feeling very tired for 2 days after the second. Felt quite reassured as they were normal side effects and showed to vaccine was having an effect.

Topseyt · 02/05/2021 12:39

I had my first dose of Astrazeneca at the end of February and my second last Saturday. No side effects after either.

jellybeans44 · 02/05/2021 12:41

Any clots that have happened did so after the first jab. And the risk of getting a clot is so minimal. You'll be fine :)

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 02/05/2021 12:42

AZ x 2
no side effects whatsoever either time.

Fringeblack · 02/05/2021 13:01

No reaction to the first or second jab for me

BranstonBeansAreSuperior · 02/05/2021 13:11

I had Pfizer and no reactions with both jabs, just standard sore arm at injection point.

YonWeeLassie · 02/05/2021 16:05

AZ and no reaction to either jab.

HollyHocks13 · 02/05/2021 16:07

I've had both doses of Pfizer and didn't have a reaction to either. Apart from a slightly sore arm!

PoTheDog · 02/05/2021 16:09

Neither of my parents had a reaction to either dose of their AZ jabs

apricotdreams · 02/05/2021 16:12

First az in feb. Felt awful for two days and arm was very painful and swollen for two weeks
Had second one yesterday afternoon. Been in bed all today with headache and slightly sore arm. No where near as bad as first time
I do have fibromyalgia though so that could have be the reason for very bad arm first time
I would do it again though. Feel so so relieved to have had both jabs

TruelyWonder · 02/05/2021 16:13

My husband has had both AZ doses

First he had a slightly sore arm and the second nothing at all. The second was on Friday.

I thi think if that the medical research on side effects showed only 1 in 4 get them. Normally just a sore arm or headache. That first Pfizer was fine but first AZ worse. Then that reverses so second AZ fine but second Pfizer worse. That was the results of their survey said. I think it was 2000 people but don't shot me if that number is wrong. I am going off memory hereGrin

Rainbowsandstorms · 02/05/2021 16:22

@jellybeans44 there have been four cases after 2nd doses.

I stand corrected! But 4 cases out of the millions of people who have had it is not something I could be worried about.
