Can you postpone your vaccine? I'm pregnant and think it will be my turn next week.

I'm 38 so could be called next week. I'm only 12 weeks pg though and would rather wait until later in my second trimester. They'll be more data then and the baby will be better developed.

Does anyone know?

It’s not compulsory. :)

There’s guidance shaping up now about a “pathway” (?) for pregnant women, which I understand involves being referred for Pfizer or Moderna. When you get invited ring up your GP/MW and ask. And, yes, you can postpone. But I expect you’ll be well into the second trimester by the time they call you.

Im about to do IVF and the doctor said the same, don’t do the vaccine in the first 12 weeks.

Hi OP,

I was due to have my second vaccine a few weeks ago but found out I was pregnant. I spoke to the GP surgery and they gave me a link to book on to once I get past the first trimester.

I imagine each area will be different but I can't see it being a problem, especially seeing as they are keen to vaccinate pregnant women now.

The booking site will stay open for when you are ready. You may get repeat texts saying to book your vaccine. You can look online and do a dummy booking to see when they are booking up to. I cannot remember if there is a question about being pregnant, but you can see there.

Thanks everyone. I'm still undecided so this is good to know 😀 I'll definitely see how late I can book when I get the text.
