Is this a symptom of covid? Anyone else had this?

For the last 2/3 days I’ve had this intense ache & pain in both of my lower legs which as got worse. It’s there even when resting.
Is this a symptom of covid? Can’t find any other reason for it - haven’t over exerted myself more than usual or done any strenuous exercise or anything. Also feel a little bit woozy headed when walking around. Alongside that & the leg pain feels like I could just fall over as legs feel like they might give from under me.

Doc has prescribed iburofen gel but it isn’t making a difference

@Needcoffeecoffeecoffee

I didnt have specifically achy legs but muscle aches. Definitely a migraine type headache. I would self isolate and get a test. Sounds like you need to know either way
I do suffer with migraines anyway but not had one for a while. This headache felt different though.

I’ll try and get booked in somewhere tomorrow, as you said I need to know either way ..

I would take paracetamol to bed with me as it was always worse during the night & then had warm baths, which helped. I think it lasted for around 10 days.

Neolara · 29/04/2021 07:20

I would get a test. Headaches and muscle aches are both symptoms of covid.

Lindy2 · 29/04/2021 07:25

I had muscle aches with Covid. I don't think aching legs is often the only symptom but it can be part of other symptoms.

I would get tested though to know for sure.

All 4 of us had Covid in January and our symptoms varied widely. None of us met the classic 3 symptoms at all apart from DH and I loosing our sense of smell and taste for a few days, but that was a week after getting our positive results.

I tested when I had a sore throat and aching knees because DH had just tested positive. I got a negative result then but a positive a few days later when more symptoms kicked in. Earache and nausea were my worst symptoms throughout.

Lindy2 · 29/04/2021 07:26

Warm baths are hot water bottles on any achy areas helped me relieve symptoms.

Temp023 · 29/04/2021 07:27

Both my DD and later her BF had aches in their legs with Covid. They are both in their late teens.

Dingleydel · 29/04/2021 07:34

I don’t think it’s likely to be covid alone, but I’m amazed your doctor didn’t see you to rule out a blood clot. That can cause bad pain in the calf’s. Especially as you feel woozy. I would get checked again.

MissSmiley · 29/04/2021 08:49

@Vampyhooch1987 how are you today?
One of my first symptoms was feeling dizzy
And I had really bad leg pains
I also vomited, no breathlessness at all

He did ask was it red or swollen & advised me to ring back if they do get red and swollen so maybe that’s why he doesn’t think it’s a clot?

I’m about the same, they feel like lead weights .... just standing up is like effort at the moment.

My main symptoms have been the leg ache, feeling sick & migraine x

Have you been tested yet OP ?
Headache, nausea and leg aches definitely need testing.

Quiero · 29/04/2021 10:01

Do you find it hard getting up? Like if you were sitting on the floor?

I had similar symptoms when I had thyroid issues. Lost all strength in my legs & horrible headaches. I also had a racing pulse and shakiness though.

No harm in getting a covid test but if that’s negative I’d be asking GP for blood tests. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

I’m having this exact thing this weekend, feeling hot, bit nauseous and my legs hurt so badly that it’s wakening me up - I had my jab on Tuesday though, could be that - have you had yours op?

UseHerName · 01/05/2021 22:55

I thought you were OP. Wish there was more publicity about the intense headache being a symptom of covid. Everyone I know who had it (including me), had this.
Wish you a speedy recovery Flowers.

I was beside myself with the pain in my legs when I had Covid, I'd have happily chopped them off because the aching was relentless.
