How quickly are people getting pcr results these days?
Had one of my kids tested this am - she has a cough - which is common for her and I'm sure not covid but obviously need to test her and in the meantime all the kids are home whilst we wait - is it quicker than last summer when I last had to do it?

I am starting to think ours has got lost. It will be 48 hours for us at 9.30am. I wish we had done a postal one now, I thought the drive through would be quicker :(
My last one took 4 days and I was having the same thoughts. By day 3 I was chasing but they refuse to actually do anything. They will tell you if they have the test registered which means it probably isn't lost. I had started to think about doing another before the 5 day period had passed but results came back just before I rebooked.

That is exactly how I am feeling kirinm. They told us it was registered, but we knew that anyway as we had to self register it once home as our test centre is in a wifi blackspot, so we already have the confirmation that it has been registered. I just keep thinking the actual test has gone missing. Its the fact we just have to sit and wait and can't do anything that is driving me nuts. Plus the kids killing each other too......

It probably isn't the done thing but I'd re-book before the 5 day period has passed. There are barely any cases anyway so its not like there is a risk of tests running out.

Sorry Worriedandonedge I completely forgot to update. We did........ 3.5 days later! Then that evening I got a call to say my daughters year at school had gone into isolation for 10 days due to a case, so she couldn't go back anyway. Thankfully my son was able to go back to preschool which eased my impending insanity Grin
