Anyone fully vaccinated and then test positive?

My son (10) got a positive test last night , no symptoms but advised by school to isolate and get test. Rest of family all been for a test this morning and waiting results. I had my second Pfizer vaccine at the beginning of April. It's only a few hours till I find out... but I am impatient and wondering if others are fully vaccinated and have since tested positive?

I haven't but as far as I'm aware you can still catch the virus even when fully vaccinated, it's just supposed to lessen the effects.
I am a contact advisor for covid so I speak to people like you who have to isolate and we would still advise isolation and testing except if you have tested positive in the last 90 days or have symptoms (I'm in wales)

Thanks. Totally still going to isolate. We spoke to a lovely track and trace person this morning. Smile

Aww that's great Smile fingers crossed you'll be negative!
Hope your son remains symptom free too!

As im sure you realise You all have to isolate even if the tests are negative as contacts

Vaccines arent a cure, they're a preventive.

Vaccines are not meant to stop people from getting the virus, they're meant to stop serious illness and death.
