I'm sure I read somewhere that over 16's and other young adults would all had their first vaccine jab bu July.

Did I dream this and if I didn't will this happen, are we on track.

Just wondering about my 18 & 21 yr old DC

The last I read they were talking about the autumn but that was a while back.

I have been checking on here for my 18 and 21 year olds.

End of July for all adults is the goal so I assume that your children will be offered a jab by 31 July

DD is 19. News reports say July, omni checker last week June/first week July. She's meant to be going on a year abroad with uni, so really hoping it'll be the J&J vaccine, or she'll get a vaccine earlier and can have her second dose end August (unlikely!)

So far the rollout seems to be on track - anyone over 42 can currently book so it shouldn't take too long for them to get through the 30s and 20s age groups during May and June if vaccine supply allows.

Thanks I thought this was the case.

My headstrong 18 yr old DS says he's not having it though unless he has to Hmm

My oldest DD had her first vaccine last Thursday she is 19, she put herself on the reserve waiting list. My middle DD is 18 she is currently doing A levels assessment exams so will sign up on the reserve waiting list in 3 weeks time. DD1 should get her 2nd vaccine in July. Both due to start uni this autumn so am hoping they both have 2nd vaccine before they start uni. We live in Wales

Decided not to wait till end of May and put my middle daughter on reserve list this morning and 2 hours later received an appointment for that same afternoon Smile just relieved that both will have 2nd vaccine before starting uni. If you can register on the reserve list. Loads of teenagers have had the vaccine in our area.
