DM side effects 2nd jab - PIC WARNING

Hi there,
DM is 73, she had her 2nd jab a week ago (AZ one.) A few days ago she started having severe itching and her skin went bruised looking - that's her arm but it's all over her. I called 111 and DM saw a GP who ran some blood tests which were thankfully normal so he said it's probably a reaction to the jab and to take an allergy tab each day until its gone.
Mum's been doing this but her itching is unbearable, it's keeping her up all night. She's using loads of Dermol lotion, E45 etc and Magicool spray, does anyone have any suggestions on anything else she could try?

After reading the links above, I would take her to A&E tomorrow. Best to get it checked out I think x

Poor lady, that must be so painful as well as irritating.

I had my second AZ at the weekend and had a quick read of the info sheet as it had been updated since my first and itching was listed as one of the less common side effects.
