There was a bit about this in the news last week and my DD is in this group. I was wondering if many families are managing to arrange an off-licence vaccine for at risk 12-16 yr olds? I’ve read up about it (Green book, Contact for Families, RCPCH etc) so I think the answer will be no, but am still curious to know other’s experience.

Hi, my dd goes to a special school where a large portion of the students are CEV/CV. Quite a few of the children have had vaccines off licence. I don't know all of the ins and outs but the parents that I've discussed this with have all gone through their hospital consultants, the youngest one was 7 years old, so it is happening but obviously each case is carefully taken on its own merits.
It looks to be that you have to have the clout of a senior physician behind you to be able to go ahead.
