Dm invited for second jab but only just over 10 weeks apart. Will this be ok or should she try and delay until 12 weeks?

When the AZ vaccine was first being given the advice was a four to six week gap between the first and 2nd injections; this was changed to 12 weeks simply because the aim was to give as many people the first jab as quickly as possible, and they stressed at the time that a 12 week gap was absolutely fine.
This advice did not say that the 4-6 week gap was unsafe, it was lengthened purely for practical reasons, so i don't see why a 1O week gap would be any problem.

I'm not sure. I know that AZ is more effective at 12 weeks than it is at 6, but not sure whether there is a difference between 10 and 12 weeks. My second jab is booked in at 11 weeks, and I have wondered the same.

Mine is due 10 weeks to the day, my brother has his booked 10 weeks and 2 days.

You are best off with two vaccines whatever the time between them so I’d just go for it!

The official government advice is that anything between 4 and 12 weeks is absolutely fine.
